Catherine & Peter’s day was a perfect blend of history, music, and festival vibes! From the atmospheric Guildhall in Leicester to a festival-style celebration at Seagrave Village Hall, every moment was filled with meaning, music, and personal touches that made it so totally unique and individual to them.
A Ceremony Steeped in History – The Guildhall, Leicester
Kicking off at one of my all-time favourite venues, Leicester’s incredible Guildhall, Leicester city centre’s oldest building, Catherine & Peter’s ceremony felt like stepping into a piece of history. It’s a venue that never fails to deliver those moody, cinematic wedding shots, and this was no exception!
A Festival-Style Reception at Seagrave Village Hall
After the formalities, it was time to party! Seagrave Village Hall was transformed into a festival wonderland – complete with a yurt, bohemian drapery, and a labyrinth (yes, really!). Catherine & Peter made sure their love of music was at the heart of the day, with performances and then an open mic jam session, featuring some absolutely incredible performances – including music from the bride and groom themselves! It was a celebration of love, creativity, and community, and honestly, the vibes were just immaculate.
The styling was effortlessly boho, with Catherine & Peter adding their own quirky, personal touches – fairy lights, tapestries, and a whole lot of soul. This wasn’t just a wedding – it was a proper experience, one that totally embodied their personalities.
One of the standout moments of the night was the open mic session, a true reflection of Catherine and Peter’s love for music. With Peter taking to the stage as both the groom and a performer, the atmosphere was electric. Friends, family, and fellow musicians joined in for a jam session that had the whole venue buzzing with energy.
One of my absolute favorite shots from the night? One of the last I took before heading home, Catherine, the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll bride, running back to the party with her guitar in hand to join in with the jam session! Pure joy and passion in one frame. It was the kind of moment that captures the heart and soul of a wedding!
